I am an associate professor of journalism at Hood College in Frederick, Maryland.

I worked for more than 20 years as a reporter and editor at The Baltimore Sun, covering local government, business and feature stories. I loved what I did and strongly believe in journalism’s mission to give audiences the news they want and need to make sense of their world.
